Chicken Broth
Infirmary-grade hydration ration • Clear, restorative, foundational
Ingredients
Core
- 2–3 pounds chicken bones, wings, or carcasses
- 10 cups water
Aromatics
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed
Seasoning
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
Load Reactor
- Add all ingredients to a large stockpot.
- Cover with water.
Simmer
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to low.
- Simmer uncovered for 1½–2 hours.
Strain
- Remove solids and discard.
- Strain liquid through fine mesh.
Cool & Store
- Let cool.
- Refrigerate up to 5 days or freeze up to 3 months.

- Freeze in 1-cup portions for fast deployment.
- Skim foam early for a clearer broth.
